Rising Australian star Thomas Randle is looking forward to getting back in to the Ligier LMP3 for the second round of the British LMP3 Cup Championship at Brands Hatch GP this weekend.
This will be the first time that Thomas will get a taste of the LMP3 around the historic venue - located near Kent in the UK.
“I am thoroughly looking forward to getting back into the Ligier this weekend for the second round of the championship,” says Randle.
“We had a very positive first round in the car, and the speed I was able to extract from the Ligier was fantastic, so I’m hoping for another couple of good results, and hopefully we can step onto the podium this weekend also.
“I haven’t driven around the Grand Prix circuit in the LMP3 yet, so it’s going to be a real eye opener for the first couple of laps, that’s for sure! Once again I must thank the team Douglas Motorsport and my team mate Mike Newbould for giving me this opportunity.” The weekend kicks off with practice on Friday, followed by one practice session on Saturday morning, then qualifying and one race later on in the day. Sunday will consist of one qualifying and one race also.
