Australian single seater star Thomas Randle is ready for the final round of the 2017 Formula Renault EuroCup Championship this weekend at the Circuit de Catalunya in Barcelona.
The 21 year old joined the championship mid way through the season, in which he has scored multiple top five and top ten finishes with a career best qualifying of second in group (fourth overall). He currently sits in 13th position in the championship standings out of 37 after only competing in five of the rounds thus far.
"It has definitely been a tough championship to join mid way through the season, but I think I have been able to get a grasp on the car quite quickly," says Randle.
"The competition is next level and I have to be on my A game every time I hop in the car. It has been almost one month since we last raced, during which time I was able to head back home to Australia and recharge the batteries for the final round. I really want to go out on a high, and with Barcelona being the teams home track, I think we can have a good crack at it. I've got to thank Rusty French, my family and the team for all of their support, and I would love to repay them this weekend."
The final round of the Formula Renault EuroCup championship will take place this weekend with practice starting on Friday.
