Thomas Randle is ready to get his Dunlop Super2 campaign back on track with Tickford Racing at Symmons Plains this weekend for round two of the series.
The Adelaide 500 round played no favours to Randle after a power steering hose let go on the way into the infamous turn eight on lap three of race one, leading the Skye Sands Ford FG-X Falcon straight into the unforgiving concrete wall and out for the remainder of the weekend.
“The first round of the championship certainly didn’t go the way we had hoped,” said Randle.
“The car and team have been phenomenal, and it has felt like an eternity since I have been in the car, so I am certainly looking forward to getting on track this Friday at Symmons Plains.”
Symmons Plains International Raceway, located approximately 30 kilometres south of Launceston plays home to round two of the Dunlop Super2 Series, and will be the first time that Randle encounters the short but sharp circuit.
“This will be my first time at Symmons Plains and in fact to Tasmania for that matter.
The car has been fully rebuilt and I am sure we can show even more speed than we did at round one in Adelaide.”
